Hi, I'm Jumpin' Jack Flash and I am an 8 year old Border Collie. I was adopted by Mari when I was almost 2 years old. I was a little active and out of control and in need of a job, so we began Agility Training at Jazz Agility Center in Greenfield Center, New York with "Auntie" Fran and "Uncle" Bill Seibert. It took a few years but Mari and I became a team and now communicate on the course (well, most of the time). I am a slow and careful Border Collie and a wonderful dog for a beginner handler like Mari. I enjoy watching agility especially when my fast friends are running like "Penny the Sheltie" (boy she needs to be herded). We have been going to local Agility Trials for 5 years and have earned NADAC Elite Regular and Elite Veteran Jumpers and Open Gamblers Titles. We continue to compete at level 4 in CPE trials. When I am not at class or practicing I enjoy long walks along the Kayaderosseras Creek or at BoyHaven, a Boy Scout camp. For recreation, I love swimming, cross country skiing, kayaking and long walks on the beach at Cape Cod or Maine. I always enjoy a good ball game and drop balls on people's heads from the balcony. Yard work is a favorite pastime with raking, riding in wheel barrows, shoveling snow and roof raking. In the evening I relax by catching bubbles or watching the fire in the wood stove crackle and pop. I will also retrieve your favorite beverage from the refrigerator. |
