Lacey is
an All American Mixed Breed owned by Joyce and Bob Stephenson. Lacey
was rescued in March 1999 from the local "kill" shelter.
They believed her to be six months to one year old. She
was found tied to a telephone pole in downtown Schenectady, NY
and had only two days left to live when she was rescued. She
was badly in need of socializing and needed to be taught manners (she
had none) so Joyce started obedience training with her. After
six months they switched to agility and started classes at Jazz Agility
Training in Greenfield Center, NY with Fran and Bill Seibert.
Week after week at practices, Lacey was kept on-leash never anticipating
competing in an agility trial. Gradually Joyce and
Lacey became more confident and, as the saying goes, the rest is history.
